Michael Moore: Why I made that speech
Irgendwie hatte ich ja schon das Gefühl, dass es etwas seltsam war, als Michael Moore während seiner Oscar-Rede so einen Tumult verursachte: Denn er sagte ja genau dasselbe, wie zur Verleihung des Cesar oder des Ace Awards und ich glaube nicht, dass es irgendwen im Publikum gab, den das überrascht hätte. Als ich letztens nochmal die Wiederholung sah, fiel mir auf, was so komisch war: Die "No"s und "Buh!"s waren so laut, als ob die Rufer ebenfalls ein Mikrofon hätten und es waren auch höchstens drei Stimmen. Interessant war, dass währenddessen ein Schwenk ins Publikum eingentlich lauter Leute zeigte, die relativ relaxed in ihren Sesseln sassen (und still vor sich hin grinsten wie Harrison Ford), auch das passte nicht zum aufbrandenden Tumult. Wie Moore diese Szene selbst erlebte beschreibt er so:I then said what I had been saying all week at those other awards ceremonies. I guess a few other people had heard me say those things too because before I had finished my first sentence about the fictitious president, a couple of men (some reported it was "stagehands" just to the left of me) near a microphone started some loud yelling. Then a group in the upper balcony joined in.
