Rumsfeld zieht noch mehr Konsequenzen!

Jetzt legt er aber los! Unnachgiebig sorgt er dafür, daß es in Abu Ghraib nie wieder Folterungen geben wird:

The Bush administration tried to erase the recent shameful images of postwar Iraq last night by saying it would demolish Abu Ghraib prison, and discipline its commander.(...)
The statement said the US would help finance the construction of a new maximum security prison.
Inmates would be transferred to the new building. "Then, with the approval of the Iraqi government, we will demolish the Abu Ghraib prison as a fitting symbol of Iraq's new beginning.(...)

Das sind extrem vertrauensbildende Maßnahmen: Ein neues Hochsicherheitsgefängnis zu bauen, in dem dann nicht mehr fotografiert werden darf und gleichzeitig immer noch die Story zu vertreten, daß die Folterungen nur von einer Hand voll irregeleiteter Soldaten begangen wurden:

"Under Saddam Hussein, prisons like Abu Ghraib were symbols of death and torture. That same prison became a symbol of disgraceful conduct by a few American troops who dishonoured our country and disregarded our values," it said.
